Lenten Meditations- April 3

Today’s Readings

Remember not the events of the past,
the things of long ago consider not;
see, I am doing something new!
Now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?
In the desert I make a way,
in the wasteland, rivers.
Wild beasts honor me,
jackals and ostriches,
for I put water in the desert
and rivers in the wasteland
for my chosen people to drink,
the people whom I formed for myself,
that they might announce my praise.

The journey of healing from abortion is just that. A journey.

There is no quick fix. No waking up one day and it is all gone.

We need to set out on the road, trusting in the love and the care of God because He is who He is, not because we are who we are.

In todays Psalm He tells us He is making something new. Us!

He makes a way for us during our crossing the desert-He guides our paths and assures us of His presence. He promises His victory.

It is easy to slip back into the thought of being unforgiveable if we keep the focus on ourselves, but we need to put the focus on Jesus and what He has done for us, especially during this beautiful time of year.

As we come closer to the closing of Lent let us make acts of confidence each day in the love that makes all things new!
