Hope and Healing After Abortion
“In my distress, I called upon the Lord and He answered me”
There is no doubt that things are pretty crazy in the world right now. It seems there is trouble everywhere we look.
It can be hard at times to hold on to the truth of God’s love and mercy. At times He seems hidden in the events that are unfolding in the world. Sometimes our feelings tell something very different than what is the reality.
Perhaps our personal abortion connectors are clouding a situation or a relationship we have, making things appear very different than they are. It is easy to allow our emotions get the best of us, especially when our feelings are raging. We can fall into the same tests over and over again, lack of trust in God, doubt in His mercy, feelings of being alone and unforgiveable.
In healing we need to learn to cling fast to the truth. That God will never abandon us. That if we have been to confession our sins are already forgiven. That we can trust in God no matter what because He loves us and desires our salvation.
“But the LORD is with me, like a mighty champion:
my persecutors will stumble, they will not triumph”
Many tried to trick Jesus. To have him condemned but He held fast to the truth of His Father. When we are feeling assailed by others or even from within may we remember the promise that He is with us always, guiding our path- all we need to do is look to Him and follow.
